Mindfulness and Approach
What is your approach to mindfulness?
Mindfulness is used to help clients connect with the present moment, develop self-awareness, and cultivate calm through breath, body awareness, and nature-based practices.
What does ‘holistic’ mean at Mind, Body & Spirit Holistic Health Services?
At Mind, Body & Spirit Holistic Health Services, holistic means recognising that wellbeing is shaped by the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Rather than focusing on symptoms in isolation, we consider emotional, psychological, physical, and energetic aspects of a person’s experience.
Our holistic approach integrates evidence-based psychological therapies such as counselling, CBT, and DBT skills with complementary practices including mindfulness, somatic yoga, guided meditation, massage, and reflexology. This allows us to support both cognitive understanding and embodied healing, helping clients regulate the nervous system, develop self-awareness, and build sustainable coping strategies.
Mindfulness underpins this approach, encouraging present-moment awareness, compassion, and connection to the body and environment. By working holistically, we aim to create personalised support that honours each individual’s unique needs, life experiences, and capacity for growth — supporting long-term balance, resilience, and wellbeing.
Holistic Therapies
What Holistic Therapies do you offer?
We offer somatic yoga, reflexology, Swedish massage, guided meditation, and other mind–body relaxation therapies.
How do Holistic Therapies support wellbeing?
Holistic therapies support relaxation, reduce stress, ease physical tension, and promote balance between mind and body.
What is Guided Meditation?
Guided meditation offers a gentle, structured way to calm the mind and reconnect with the body through breath awareness, visualisation, and mindful attention. Sessions are led by a trained practitioner and may include grounding techniques, body scans, and compassion-based practices to support emotional regulation and stress reduction. At Mind, Body & Spirit Holistic Health Services, guided meditation is often used alongside counselling or CBT to help clients integrate therapeutic insights, manage anxiety, improve sleep, and develop a greater sense of inner balance and self-awareness.
What is Somatic Yoga?
Somatic yoga is a slow, mindful movement practice that focuses on body awareness rather than physical performance or flexibility. Using gentle movements, breath, and sensory awareness, somatic yoga helps release chronic muscle tension, support nervous system regulation, and restore a sense of safety within the body. At Mind, Body & Spirit Holistic Health Services, somatic yoga is particularly supportive for stress, trauma, anxiety, and burnout, and is often combined with psychological therapies to deepen mind–body connection and support long-term wellbeing.
Do I need to be flexible or experienced for Somatic Yoga?
No. Somatic yoga is gentle and accessible, focusing on awareness and movement rather than physical performance.
Can Holistic Therapies be combined with Counselling or CBT?
Yes. At Mind, Body & Spirit Holistic Health Services, we often use an integrated approach that combines counselling or CBT with holistic therapies. Psychological therapies support emotional insight, thought patterns, and coping strategies, while holistic therapies such as somatic yoga, massage, reflexology, and guided meditation help regulate the nervous system, reduce physical tension, and promote relaxation. Using both together allows us to support the whole person — mind, body, and spirit — creating deeper, more sustainable wellbeing outcomes tailored to each individual’s needs.
